• Account information. If you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive basic profile details from that provider (such as your name, email address, and profile image) and store an account record so you can use signed-in features.
• Saved lists. When you are signed in, we store your favorites and watch-later selections linked to your account.
• Usage and analytics data. We use privacy-focused analytics (Umami) and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as pages visited, referrers, and general device or browser information. When you are signed in, analytics may be associated with your account identifier to help us understand product usage.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard server logs, such as IP address, request timestamps, and user agent, to deliver and protect the service.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve RiftTube
• Authenticate you and save your favorites and watch-later list
• Monitor site performance, security, and aggregate usage trends
• Respond to support requests and enforce our terms

Third-party services

RiftTube relies on third parties that process data under their own policies, including:

• Google and Discord for sign-in
• YouTube and Google for embedded or linked video content and metadata indexing
• Cloudflare for hosting, database storage, and infrastructure
• Umami and Google Analytics for site analytics

When you interact with YouTube content or sign in through a social provider, those services may collect information according to their own privacy policies.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work if cookies are disabled.

Data retention

We retain account and saved-list data for as long as your account is active. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of our analytics providers. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.

• You can browse most of the site without signing in.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated saved lists by contacting us.
• You can use browser controls or opt-out tools offered by analytics providers to limit tracking where available.

Children's privacy

RiftTube is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
